Bush will commemorate the 15th anniversary of its 2011 album “The Sea of Memories” with a newly remastered anniversary edition scheduled for release Sept. 25 through earMUSIC. The expanded set will feature the original 12-track album in 2026-remastered audio alongside nine additional recordings, offering fans a broader look at the era surrounding the band’s return. The album marked Bush’s first studio release following its reunion after a decade-long hiatus.
“The Sea of Memories” represented an important turning point for Bush, establishing the foundation for the band’s post-reunion run of albums. Since then, the group has released “Man On The Run,” “Black And White Rainbows,” “The Kingdom,” “The Art Of Survival” and “I Beat Loneliness,” its most recent studio album, released in 2025. Bush has continued touring and recording with frontman Gavin Rossdale alongside guitarist Chris Traynor, bassist Corey Britz and drummer Nik Hughes.
The anniversary collection will be issued as a two-CD package with a poster booklet and as a three-LP, 180-gram vinyl set housed in a gatefold package. The original album includes “The Sound of Winter,” “The Afterlife,” “All Night Doctors,” “Baby Come Home,” “Red Light” and “The Heart of the Matter,” among other tracks. The album was produced by Bob Rock, who helped shape the record’s polished modern-rock sound.
The nine bonus tracks span covers, B-sides, alternate versions, remixes and live material. They include Bush’s rendition of Joy Division’s “Love Will Tear Us Apart,” “The Year of Danger,” “Ghost,” “Lay Down Your Guns,” a Junior Sanchez remix of “The Sound of Winter,” a Washroom & Bass Over Babylon remix of “The Afterlife,” the original edit of “All Night Doctors,” “Landslide” performed live at the Bridge School Benefit and an acoustic version of “Float.”
The anniversary release arrives as Bush continues to build on its decades-long career, giving longtime listeners both a remastered version of a key comeback album and previously collected material from the period. The 3-LP edition is being offered as a limited physical release, while the two-CD configuration provides the complete 21-track anniversary program in a compact format.
