959 THE HOG Match Game Promotion
OFFICIAL CONTEST RULES
NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN. A PURCHASE WILL NOT INCREASE YOUR CHANCE OF WINNING. VOID WHERE PROHIBITED.
1. HOW TO ENTER THE CONTEST:
a. The 959 The Hog Match Game Promotion will begin at approximately 11:45 AM EST on 05-20-24 and end when all prizes have been won.
b. To participate in the contest 959 he Hog listeners will need to listen every weekday at 11:45 am, 3:45 pm, and 5:15 pm EST for the “cue to call” and then call 423 578-ROCK (7625) The 5th caller will be selected (“Contestant”). In case of a disconnect of the Contestant, the next caller to get through will be the Contestant. The Contestant will then choose two (2) of a possible 20 “doors”. “Doors” will be labeled 1 through 20. If the Contestant chooses two “doors” that contain matching prizes, the Contestant wins that prize instantly. Each Contestant will only be given one opportunity to match two “doors”. Once a prize is matched and won, it is no longer available for the contest. A fresh board will be generated at the beginning of each week. The game board will be on the 959thehog.com website for listeners to download.
c. Only one winner per household. There is no limit to the number of times a listener may attempt to call in to win, but a listener may only win one prize.
d. 959 THE HOG is not responsible for telephone service outages, delays, busy signals, equipment malfunctions, and any other technical difficulties or for any medical emergencies that may interrupt or prevent the completion of a telephone call.
2. ELIGIBILITY RESTRICTIONS:
a. The contest is open to all 959 THE HOG listeners who are 18 or older and reside in the Johnson City-Kingsport- Bristol TN/VA metro area. Employees of 959 THE HOG, its licensee, its corporate parents, subsidiaries and affiliates, its advertising agencies, participating sponsors/promotional partners, other radio stations in the Johnson City-Kingsport- Bristol TN/VA metro area, and the members of their immediate families or households are ineligible to participate or win.
b. A person is eligible to win a 959 THE HOG contest only once every thirty (30) days. Only one winner per household is permitted in any contest. Entrants are eligible to win a contest prize valued at $600.00 or greater only once every six months.
3. PRIZES:
a. By entering all participants agree to be bound by the official rules.
b. No substitution or transfer of prizes is permitted. Decisions of station management concerning the contest are final. All prizes will be awarded pending confirmation of eligibility.
c. By entering all participants agree to be bound by the official rules.
d. There are NO consolation prizes.
e. Any prize not claimed within thirty days of winning will be forfeited by the winner.
f. 959 THE HOG will NOT mail any prize.
g. The prizes are expressly limited to the prize announced when a match is made and do not include taxes, gratuities or any other expenses. Other restrictions may apply.
4. SELECTION OF WINNERS:
a. Decisions of station management concerning the contest are final.
b. During each cue to call in as described in Section 1b the 5th caller will be selected (“Contestant”). That Contestant will then choose two of the twenty “doors”. If the “doors” selected contain matching prizes, the Contestant will win that prize. If the “doors” do not contain matching prizes, the Contestant will NOT win any prize. They will, however, be eligible to play again. If for any reason any prize winner is unable to accept the prize, the prize will be forfeited.
c. Odds of becoming a contestant depend upon the number and order of phone calls received.
5. CONDITIONS:
a. Payment of all federal, state, and local taxes is solely the responsibility of the winner(s). The winner(s) may be required to sign an IRS Form W-9 or the equivalent.
b. By participating in the contest, the winner(s) agree to have their name, voice, or likeness used in any advertising or broadcasting material relating to this contest without additional financial or other compensation, and, where legal, to sign a publicity release confirming such consent before delivery of the prize. Winners also agree to provide 959 THE HOG with an interview, which may be used in connection with the contest.
c. Before awarding any prize, 959 THE HOG in its sole discretion may require contest winners to sign a liability release agreeing to hold 959 THE HOG, its corporate licensee, its parent, subsidiary, and affiliated corporations, and the officers, shareholders, directors, employees, agents, and representatives of each of them harmless against any claims or liability arising directly or indirectly from the prize or participation in the contest.
d. 959 THE HOG reserves the right to make changes in the rules of the contest, including the substitution of a prize of equivalent value, which will become effective upon announcement.
e. Failure to comply with the contest rules may result in a contestant’s disqualification at the sole discretion of 959 THE HOG.
f. 959 THE HOG is not responsible for typographical or other errors in the printing, the offering, or the administration of the contest or in the announcement of a prize.
g. Copies of the written contest rules and a list of winners (when complete) are available during regular business hours at the main studio of 959 THE HOG, 222 Commerce Street Kingsport, TN 37660.
